Pastor Murray has served Memorial since 1996, following pastorates in Cobourg, Canada and New Orleans, Louisiana. God has blessed him with Maryann, his wife of 28 years, and with two daughters, Anastasia, who teaches Latin at Providence School, Spring, Texas, and Hilary, a sophomore at Concordia University Nebraska. He holds the degrees of B.A. from Concordia College, Ann Arbor; M.Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne; M.A. from Loyola University, New Orleans; and Ph.D from New Orleans Baptist Seminary, New Orleans. He writes a devotion, Memorial Moment, every week day, which is read by 1700+ subscribers all over the world. He is the host of the weekly radio program, Dying to Live, which is available as a broadcast, on demand, and as an iTune subscription. He has served The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod on the Commission on Theology and Church Relations (1996-2001), on the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Education Association of Houston (2001-2007), and since 2010 has served as the Synod’s 5th Vice President.   He is the author of numerous journal articles, and Law, Life, and the Living God published by Concordia Publishing House in 2001. His new book, Through the Year With the Fathers, has be released by Concordia Publishing House.

Pastor St-Onge served Memorial as a vicar from 2001 to 2002, and returned in 2008 to serve as associate pastor.  Previously he served as pastor of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Ridley Park, PA, and as Executive Director of Philadelphia Lutheran Ministries.  Pastor St-Onge married his wife Deborah in 2000, and they have two young children, Olivia and Sophia, who both attend Memorial Lutheran School.  He holds the degrees of B. A. Sc. from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Canada, an M. Sc. from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, and a M. Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Prior to seminary, Pastor St-Onge worked as a civil engineer in both the United States and Canada.  He is the author of several published articles and sermons, a blogger for the Houston Chronicle’s HoustonBelief website, and the author of Not As We Ought, a book on the theology of prayer, and With Shouts of Thanksgiving, a collection of instrumental music.
