Jesus ChristMemorial Lutheran Church holds the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired and inerrant Word of God.  The Bible describes all humans as being broken off from God from birth (Psalm 51:5), but also that God desires us all to be reconciled to Him through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:21-25).   We baptize children and adults into Jesus, share the Lord’s Body and Blood under bread and wine with all who have publicly declared fellowship with our teachings, and most importantly proclaim the Gospel:

“What is the Gospel? It is these words which the Lord speaks: “He that believes and is baptized shall be saved.” - Martin Luther, Sermon on Christ’s Ascension

Memorial is a member of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, and our senior pastor the Rev. Dr. Scott Murray serves as our denomination’s fifth vice-president.  The LCMS is one of many worldwide church bodies that hold to the same confession of the Christian faith.   These bodies hold that the summary of the Bible’s teachings found in the 1580 Book of Concord accurately describes God’s intentions for humanity.   We use Dr. Martin Luther’s Small Catechism to teach the basics of the Christian faith to children and adults alike.
