Building Committee Awareness Update

Posted on Feb 09 , 2012 in Announcements & Memorial Builds & Upcoming Events

The Building Committee of Memorial Lutheran Church met again on Wednesday, 9 February 2012 to consider the new designs for the renewal of our facility. Our architect, Paul Lodholz, presented some options to the committee in keeping with the concerns expressed by the congregation in the December town hall meeting. The design was enthusiastically received by all the members of the committee. There is still a great deal of work to be done.

Paul will be getting some cost estimates together over the next two weeks that will prepare the committee to come to the congregation with a clear and specific recommendation for the scope of work to be done in conjunction with A Memorial for the People capital campaign. Two Awareness Forums have been scheduled to allow members of Memorial to ask questions and find out more information about the campaign.  The first of these forums will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, 26 February 2012.  There will be a light luncheon provided.  The second forum will take place on Sunday, 4 March 2012 during the Sunday School hour.

Please pray for the work of the committee.  Please stay alert for further information as it becomes available. The committee is confident you will like what they will present.
