All Saints' Day
All Saints' Day is a very special day, as it highlights a reality in which we constantly live. When we hear God's Word and receive His Sacrament, we do so along with all those who have gone before us in the faith. When John sees the host arrayed in white in Revelation, he sees all who have believed and all who will believe in Jesus Christ, beholding the Lamb upon the throne, Jesus Himself. These are all those who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb, cleansed from all iniquity by Christ's death on the cross in Baptism.
